Dear parents,
It is a mandatory requirement by Kommune that each day care instituion should conduct a survey every two years to determine whether parents would continue having meals (morning snack, lunch and afternoon snack) from the kindergarten OR parents prefer to pack lunches from home.
If the decision is to switch to packed lunches:
- The monthly fee will be reduced by 300 kr.
- TT will not be providing fridges for packed lunches. However, they will make space available so that parents can buy or source fridges themselves. Parents will also be fully responsible for all cleaning and maintenance of the fridges — including arranging and paying for a repairman if needed.
- You are welcome to pack any type of food, except items containing sugar or nuts. This includes options like meat or other foods tailored to your child’s dietary needs.
- Parents will also need to provide both morning and afternoon snacks. If preferred, each class can agree internally on a shared system where families take turns bringing fruit or baking buns, for example.
Please note:
- There will be no microwave available, so food must be ready to eat without reheating.
- There will be no backup food provided by Tiny Tots.
